Doc. MUDr. Tonko Mardešić, CSc. has been engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of sterility since 1986, when under his leadership, the team achieved a number of priorities within Czechoslovakia and later in the Czech Republic (first delivery after thawed embryo transfer, first birth after the application of micromanipulation procedures in the zona pellucida, application of cocultivation systems).
Since the beginning of 1996, doc. Mardešić has been the lead physician of Pronatal Sanatorium, where he implements the concepts of optimal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for couples with fertility disorders.
In addition to extensive lecture activities at home and abroad, the author has, among other things, a number of chapters in both domestic and foreign publications, several monographs and a series of original works.
He is a longtime member of the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), where he also served as a member of the Executive Committee of ESHRE, he has repeatedly been a member of the Committee of the Czech Gynecological and Obstetrical Society (ČGPS) and is a member of the committee of Section of Assisted Reproduction ČGPS.
