The menstrual cycle is a complex of diverse processes that take place in a woman's body every month for the purpose of preparing the body for reproduction. In its individual phases, there are changes in the sex organs, as well as in the woman's psyche and emotions.
The cycle lasts from the 1st day of bleeding to the 1st day of the next bleeding. If bleeding occurs after 10 am, the following day is considered to be the first day of the cycle.
The menstrual cycle usually lasts 21-35 days. The duration of bleeding is different for every woman, but in most cases it lasts 2-7 days.
